06 · Beyond the work
Football, technology, travel and the quality of human connection have shaped how I compete, learn and work with others.
I spent eight years at Standard de Liège and two at Eupen, regularly wearing the captain’s armband. A car accident interrupted that path and led to more than a year of rehabilitation, including learning to walk again. Football left me with more than a taste for competition: self-improvement, discipline and responsibility towards a team.
I believe technology can improve society when it is placed in the right hands. At the same time, the more digital the world becomes, the more valuable the non-digital becomes: trust, thoughtful service and high-quality human interaction. In business, these are not soft extras; they are strategic assets.
Spanish grew out of travel, friendships and a genuine affection for the culture. In Mallorca and Lanzarote, trips became lasting friendships. I value the warmth, directness and social energy of Spanish culture—and the way speaking the language lets you experience a place beyond the surface.
The faster the world becomes, the more valuable it is to take time for people.
Helping, sharing knowledge and connecting people matter to me in everyday life. As more interactions become fast or automated, taking time to explain, listen and support others feels even more important.
